This invitation from the mayor of Dauin, Negros Oriental, was accepted by a large number of residents and tourists from the nearby diving resorts.
They had a great spectacle as the mayor drove up to the town hall for the event and was escorted to the place of honor.
A prayer was said, the national anthem was sung together with the population, an amateur group performed a beautiful, modern nativity play, a singer performed and shortly afterwards the barangay captains were able to switch on the lights together for this year’s Christmas season.
What a fantastic evening for young and old.
