In every town and also in the markets of larger towns you will find a flower department. I mean the flower department with the cut flowers. This is where the cut flowers are made into bouquets, arrangements and even funeral decorations.

By chance, about 13 years ago on a trip by car to the deepest province of Mindanao, I found the rose fields where the beautiful roses in our markets in Cagayan de Oro come from.

These photos were taken at the market in Dumaguete. When we are there again, I will try to find out where the cut flowers come from.
